I bought this stick of 2GB Corsair DDR2-800 RAM for a netbook and I am very satisfied. I bought a Corsair 2GB DDR2-667 for another netbook in the past and I was thoroughly satisfied with the purchase. I always run memtest86 to confirm the memory is good and nothing was different with this new Corsair memory module. It was easy to install and doesn't cause any problems. Although I installed it in a netbook where the BIOS limits my ability to tweak memory settings, my advice to other PC users is to always stick with SPD settings (stock). Some manufacturers like OCZ like to sell you "high performance" memory that is just overclocked memory and that causes reliability issues. Corsair and mushkin generally stick to the fundamentals by selling you what they advertised. This stick of 2GB DDR2-800 SODIMM was no different and I'd recommend it to my colleagues/friends/fellow PC users.

My BIGGEST complaint has to be with the packaging. It also applies to the packaging used by other memory manufacturers. The memory stick clips into a clamshell package, and although it does protect the memory during transit, it makes it nearly impossible to remove without bending the module. I try my best to remove them, but it is truly a challenge. I always end up cutting a slit down the clamshell to facilitate easier removal. As a customer, I should not have to go through this trouble to get my memory without damaging it.

Pros: No drama, no fuss - install and go. Reliable.
Cons: Packaging design sucks, same as usual for the past 2-3 years and not just with Corsair

Overall: 5/5 stars
Excelent Memory

Brought this with my toshiba nb205 210 netbook from amazon.com for free shipping. It works great and has no problem to install it.
Works great, but don't exceed 3gb on Win XP

I bought two 2gb sticks of memory so that my laptop would have 4gb total. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks, but Windows XP eventually decided that it couldn't handle the full 4gb. It crashed hard. I had to format the hard drive and my computer would not reinstall Windows XP until I removed one of the sticks of memory. After returning to 2gb of memory, everything installed and worked normally. It seems like the product is fine, but Windows XP just couldn't deal with the upgrade. As a possible point of interest, I would like to add my experience of trying to use 4gb of memory on Win XP. I have read that some people are successful upgrading to this much memory and that some aren't. My computer displayed that it recognized the full 4gb, but eventually couldn't handle it. I have read that some computers don't even recognize more than 3gb if they are running Win XP. Take what you want from my experience.
works with Aspire Revo R1600

bought this to boost the memory for my revo Acer AspireRevo AR1600-U910H Black/White Desktop PC (Windows XP Home)- just added it to the empty slot and took my memory up to 3gb totally solved the big problem I had with buffering up netflix instant watch and hulu movies before adding it if I skipped forward or back I was looking at about a 3 minute wait to buffer up before playback continued, now its just a few seconds.

otherwise - it's memory what is there to say?
Works as expected.

I put one of these into my new Asus eeePC 1005PE when I got it and after fiddling with the BIOS slightly to get it detected, the full amount of memory appeared and seemed to speed up the overall execution of applications on the netbook noticably.

I've used Corsair memory for years and have yet to experience any problems with any one of them.
